About (Baby and) Me
Hi, I’m Sarah. I’ve been supporting young children, families and early childhood professionals for over 20 years. I am deeply passionate about babies and found myself drawn to them across my lifetime. It’s why I majored in Early Childhood Education in undergraduate studies, fostered, adopted, and birthed my way to parenthood, and recently returned to school to get my Master of Arts in Applied Child and Adolescent Development as well as an Infant Family Specialist Endorsement from the PA Association for Infant Mental Health. The field of infant mental health has been increasingly viewed as essential for healthy growth and development as the science behind the brain has grown. We now know so much about early development and especially attachment. This aligns with my core beliefs about babies, young children, parenting and early childhood education. We all need to be seen and safely held to thrive. I am passionate about the care and support for young children and their caregivers and know intimately the often-heroic journey it takes to be a parent. I am honored to be called to walk with families and caregivers who are brave enough to ask for help. When I’m not ogling babies, I’m marveling at how quickly my own children are growing, reading, trying new beers with my soulmate husband and cheering my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers! Here we go, Steelers, here we go!
